Bleach Chapter 529 Review - Aizen Playing Matchmaker !?!?

It's been awhile since I wrote a Bleach review! I think the last chapter I reviewed was chapter 518...I missed a lot O.O Well i'm back now ^___^

Like I said last time: If you're not up-to-date with the Bleach manga and don't want to be spoiled then I suggest you geeeeeeeeet ouuuuut ! It's for your own good. ;)

***SPOILERS***

BLEACH lately has finally confirm what we already know this past couple of weeks: Last week's chapter, its been confirmed that Ichigo's mom IS in fact a Quincy and This week, its confirmed that Isshin is a Shiba ! :D I even called it in my last Bleach review too. Even though it was kind of predictable, I got a little excited about it, more than I should have...xD

The chapter was pretty much a flashback chapter, which I don't mind, about Isshin's past. From what I gathered, it takes place after the Turn Back the Pendulum arc and about 20 years before the series. It showed that Isshin was the Captain of the 10th Division at the time with Rangiku Matsumoto as his Lieutenant and Toushiro Hitsugaya as his 3rd Seat.

I always thought that Isshin was part of the Zero Division since no one seemed to recognize him and the Kurosaki name before all of this, fuck me right ? However at times like these, i actually like the fact that I'm wrong since it make thing less predictable for me at least ^^;

At first, I thought that Rangiku was different here...seeing her running around looking for her captain just so they could get work done...seemed to have serious work ethic...and I wondered...

What happened to this Rangiku? Where did she go? Perhaps maybe she's lazy now due to missing her previous Captain? This Rangiku is rather nice...

...BUT all that went crumbling down when Isshin said that Rangiku is only doing that so he could do HER work too and Rangiku...looked guilty...once lazy, ALWAYS lazy...That Rangiku never existed...  -________-

One of the things I liked about this chapter was how they treated Toushiro xD They treated him like a baby ! With Isshin picking up and Rangiku pinching his cheeks like I do with my baby niece ! xD

Anyway, There have been reports of a Soul Reaper in this city called Narukishi has mysteriously died and so did two others. Isshin decides to go investigate it himself, ignoring Rangiku as she says that he shouldn't be going alone, only to be stopped by Toushiro by saying that they weren't strong enough and would only get in the way.

Now, this next part got me pumped up...yes you guessed...Gin, Kaname, and AIZEN ! :D

Apparently, the trio are trying to find the whereabouts of Shinji Hirako and the rest of the Vizards, so they can carry on with their Hollowfication experiment on them since it seems that other test subjects weren't a success. 

Now i'm gonna be honest here, I missed these guys, especially Gin, since we had a bit of Aizen chapters ago with Juha Bach. Seeing them was a breath of fresh air, it took me back. This was defiently my favorite part of the chapter. :)

At the end of the chapter Aizen said his infamous "catchphrase" "Everything is going according to plan." (The one I read had a different translation FYI) and the time he told Ichigo that he knew about him BEFORE he was even born got me thinking...do you think he planned on Isshin and Masaki meeting each other ? Is he planing on them falling in love and having Ichigo just so could use him for his hollowfication experiment?

AIZEN IS PLAYING CUPID ! o___O

My prediction for next chapter...hmmm... I think we'll be seeing an Aizen vs Isshin fight, Other than the one from the Arrancar arc. If not next chapter,then the one after maybe. I think he'll might run into Urahara, who might probably be also investigating whats going on? Or he could already be settled in Karakura Town.

I do have some questions though...

• Why doesn't Soul Society remember Isshin in the Arrancar/Fake Karakura arc when he went to fight Aizen?
• Why didn't Rangiku remember him when Ichigo had him over his shoulder when he arrived during Gin's dying moments? 
• Did Aizen somehow wipe their memory of him?
• Did the Captain Commander order them not to speak or mention abything about Isshin due to his relationship with a Quincy?

I highly doubt the last one since they would've tried to execute him for 'treason' or something if they found out about something like that.

Oh! Another thing I like about this chapter...backgrounds. Most bleach chapters looks so EMPTY due to lack of backgrounds drawn...it kinda bugs me a bit.. :\

But this chapter had plenty of them and I'm satisfied. ^___^

On a scale of 1 - 5 I rate this chapter a solid 5 ! Amazing chapter this week ! Looking forward to next week ! :D

Bleach Chapter 518 review AWESOME

If you haven't been keeping up-to-date with the Bleach manga then I recommend you skip this until you finally read it. If you have never watched/read Bleach , then go read/watch it ! Its really good ! I highly recommend it ! Now on to the review!

Ho...ly...shiiiiiiiiiiiit ! Bleach officially just got AWESOME ! Not that it wasn't before, but reading this chapter made me jump up and down excitedly !

The Mysterious 'hero' from Hueco Mundo

We finally got to find out who was with Urahara, Orihime, and Chad at Hueco Mundo...well sort of...but its PAINFULLY obvious who it is...

I know what ya'll saying:

• Didn't Grimmjow died after Nnoitora Jiruja attacked him?

• NOPE! Tite Kubo confirmed that Grimmjow survived and he along with Tier Harribel (3rd Espada) are the only Espada that survived. It is unknown how Grimmjow survived though, since he was severely injured, But I guess they'll mention that later I hope !

• I don't think he's strong enough to defeat Quilge Opie that easily!

• Well, it HAS been 17 months since we last saw Grimmjow in the Arracar Saga, and there's a thing called TRAINING ! After losing to Ichigo, I bet he's been traing his ass off since then and who knows, maybe he now got a second resurreccion like Ulquiorra did ! :o

• Why would he help Urahara, Orihime, and Chad?
• I'm not too sure myself but I guess its a way to pay Ichigo back for saving his life from Nnoitora maybe?

In this chapter, there were clues in regarding the identity to Urahara, Orihime, and Chad's 'savior'. When Urahara contacts Ichigo, who's in Soul Society, through a communication system that he installed in Kon, he appeard to be inside some tent, and with the sound of Ichigo's voice, the 'mysterious' guy demanded to talk to Ichigo and called him a 'bastard'. Sounds like Grimmjow to you? You could also briefly see him through the communication system, but didn't show his face since it was covered in those speech bubbles and Chad & Orihime was pushing out the tent, which I found really funny ! When you look at his clothing, you can tell its Grimmjow:

       

                                                 

The two panels on the left are from this chapter and the on on the right is just a picture of Grimmjow. The first panel on top shows the 'mysterious' person wearing a black sash with a white hakama. As you can see, Grimmjow ALSO wears a black sash and white hakama. If that isn't enough for you, take a look at panel 2; Look at the 'mysterious' guy's arm: He has his sleeve rolled up to his elbows and on the right pic, Grimmjow ALSO wears his sleeves rolled up. The green underline and circle is just showing how he talks. he sounds aggressive, like Grimmjow. 

I knew it was him all along and I know I wasn't the only one. :) *cough* bigfanofgrimmjowhere *cough*

The Return of...

Looks like Grimmjow wasn't the only one who made a return ! Yes people, a few familiar people came back in this chapter and believe me, I was surprised ! Another person who made a return was...

                                

                                      Kukaku Shiba !!!

Yes people, the big-chested, one arm & leg chick with a giant canon has finally returned ! If I'm right, she hasn't been seen since the Soul Society arc where Ichigo and friends went to rescue Rukia. That was a looooooooong time ago ! If she returned, then you know what that means...her brother Ganju appeared too ! However, he was with some people, and this surprised me a lot; he was seen with the fullbringers ! O.O

Apparently, Kukaku found the fullbringers wandering around the Rukongai and I guess took them in and are training with Ganju, probably to prepare for the upcoming battle with the Vandenreich. It is unknown if they still retain their memories from when they were alive, as stated before that most people don't remember, with the exception of that parrot talking boy. It likely that they are one of the few that do remember and I don't know about you but this is awesome! Sure the Fullbring arc was...kinda bad, story-wise, but I do love the characters! Can't wait to see what they could do !

UNCLE !?!?!?

Right after Kukaku fires Ichigo and the Royal Guard back to the Royal Palace, Ganju ask Kukaku if it was okay for her to let them go which she replied she did, for if he doesn't go, there will be another attack that will defiantly end Soul Society. After say that she also said that it was the right thing to do, even if uncle will be upset about it...

Now who is this uncle shes referring to ? Many people speculated the there is a possibility that Kukaku, Ganju and Kaien are somehow related to the Kurosakis, due to the fact that Ichigo and Kaien looking so much alike.
                  
                                             

Other characters from the show also sees the resemblance. 

We all know that Isshin Kurosaki was once a soul reaper before settling down with his *cough* quincy *cough* wife, Masaki Kurosaki. Nothing much is known about his background other than that but some fans thought that he could be the Shiba's father, thus making them Ichigo's step-siblings. They were close though ! It seems that Isshin is their uncle and they are Ichigo's cousins...maybe. Isshin seems to keep Ichigo in the dark about certain things, like when Aizen was about to reveal that Ichigo was half Shinigami and...BOOM Isshin came and stop Aizen from revealing something. I think its safe to say that Aizen was gonna say half quincy. Wonder what other things is Isshin hiding...

The Royal Palace !

Alright, the moment I've been waiting for since...FOREVER ! THE ROYAL PALACE !

                        

....Okay...I admit, I was expecting a big badass castle like building  but I guess I was wrong...like I was wrong about the Royal Guards... ^^;

But nonetheless I psyched ! We're SO close to see the Soul King ! However, thinking about what Aizen said about Soul King, calling it an 'it', I expect it to be some kinda life...energy thing or something like that? Or it could be a small mystical creature... o.O 

...I don't  know but I can't wait to find out ! xD

All in all I rate this chapter a 9/10 (-1 because of the Grimmjow teasingness, DAMN YOU KUBO !)
